Mystery of Curiosity

How strange it was that millions had seen the apple fall, but only Newton asked why. His curiosity filled with insatiable appetite to explore had led him to what gravity is about!

Curiosity has its own reason for existing and children are the perfect example to satisfy the thirst for knowledge through their own ways. They explore, question, and wonder, and by doing so, they learn. And for adults, we make no difference too because we are drawn to new things and we want to explore and to discover what it is about.

Since curiosity is a normal part of a child's self-discovery process, then such appetite should be encouraged to remove their ignorance they brought with them into this world. However, their over inquisitiveness could be hilarious or to drive anyone up the wall.

Not only children learn through their own curiosity but also from observations. They imitate what the adults are doing and take the cue to serve as a yardstick for their own developments. When their curiosity gets the better of them, they could perform hair-raising pranks.

Animals are curious too. When the word curiosity is used, the first animal to remember for the appropriate use of the word is the cat. If curiosity kills the cat, then what kills the curious humans? My guess is the refusal to be curious. When the mind becomes lacklustre and the body switches to a sedentary mode, the curiosity faculty will cease to function as it should.

Irrespective of age, we have to be curious and to be more creative so that our mental flexibility can be alive. There is no end to learning so is to curiosity. “What is it?” is always a challenging question which may sound simple though.

Like the elephants, their trunks are the curious tools that are designed for multi-purpose activities. By the way, let us get curious over this question.

“Do you know that elephants have their sexual organs in their feet?”

The most sensible or insane way is to lift up its foot one after another for a close examination.
“Yes, if one steps on you, you are screwed!” That will be my answer.
Then, we might end up like the cat to get “killed” by curiosity.
