The day was September 16 2008. The Kelana Jaya Stadiun was thronged with people from all walks of life wanting to hear the good news they were waiting for – the takeover of the federal government!
Even though it did not materialize and the people were visibly disappointed, yet they accepted and kept their support for Pakatan Raakyat.
Then it was the Permatang Pauh by-election and now the Kuala Terengganu by-election.
Malaysians are fed-up with the Barisan government and the people want a change. The emergence of BERSIH with its clarion call for a clean and fair election is loud. The birth of HINDRAF has awakened the government of the day, but the arrogance of the Barisan government over the plights of the minority begins to see the cracks in solidarity with the government from Malaysians of the various races.
Corruptions, crimes and the rising costs of living are the frightening issues which spread like plague are hurting the ordinary Malaysians.
The dreaded draconian law – I.S.A. used on dissenters has killed democracy with a stroke of pen. Malaysians have lost their freedom of speech and their rights to assemble. The democratic process guaranteed in the Malaysian Federal Constitutions eroded and this is what Malaysians could bargain for after fifty years of independence for supporting the Barisan Government.
The Human Rights Walk and the Anti-ISA vigil saw more Chinese participating because their presence was inevitable but not of choice. No one is calling for civil war and no one screams for racial riot, but the cry for JUSTICE!

When anyone tells the government that they are wrong, be it theirs or their mentri besar(s) or exposing seditious comments from umno members, you will be arrested under ISA to be reformed but not punished as claimed by the Home Ministry.
So, the eleven percent of Chinese in Kuala Terengganu should vote wisely.
Malaysians for the first time see five states fell to the Oppositions. Not only the two-third majority was denied but also the unprecedented achievements, all because of the cooperation from the rakyat. The Chinese should give the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat to PAS to make the opposition stronger so that the BN government will learn from the people – will they?

It is time for a change in Malaysian politics and who will be better to lead than this “towkay” of Pakatan Rakyat?
TAKE KUALA TERENGGANU!
