23 Court Case on Illegal Charged 23rd Jan 2009

LIVE REPORT AT GROUND ZERO PJ Magistrate Court

4.30pm
The last one on the way home! After some miscommunication, finally everyone's home.
Imagine, so close to Chinese New Year, it makes one wonder if they realised they have detained
the wrong group of people and after 2 months only they can managed to cook up some charges.
We hope our police can be more humane and go after the real culprits instead of going after aunties and uncles. Happy Chinese New Year to All. God Bless Malaysia

Statement from Lim Lip Eng YB Segambut Lawyer that representing YB Tony Pua MP for PJ Utara, YB Ronnie Liu Exco Kerajaan Negeri Selangor, YB Lau Weng San Adun Kg Tunku, and Yang Berbahagia, Pn Tiew Way Keng MBPJ councillor YB Gobind represents the rest of the 20's. Prosecutor request for Rm5,000 bail and surrender passport for each person, YB Lim disagree and request the judge for personal bond, three reasons:

1. With respect to the charges, this case happen last yr, all the arrested has been co-operative, and some of them came here this morning uninvited especially Puan Liew Weng Keng and YB Ronnie where they have not been advise to appear in court pior to this. They were not inform that there will be charges and only realised when they are in court this morning.

2. According to the charges, the offense took place at Laman MBPJ. The understanding, Laman's is MBPJ field. YB Lim told the Judge that his clients of three YBs and one councillor, they are all part of the Selangor Government. Laman MBPJ belongs to Kerajaan Selangor, and they are minding their own business in their own field and they have been charged in their own field for illegal assembly. In our case here no one was hurt and no property was damaged.

3) All of them are not criminal and have no previous criminal record.

Based on these three reasons YB Lim request for only personal bond to be impose. Hearing continues........

  1. This is just another bullshit case that even the DPPs are tired of it. Gobind Deo will have great times slapping them in court today and for many days to come.

  2. How can these innocent ppl be charged compare to the many other hooligans that are out there running wild? Selective punishment by famous police, Its a damm shame to PDRM.
