Mystery of Creativity

Creativity is the act of seeing things that everyone around us sees while making new and useful connections that no on else has made. So, it has to be new, unique, different, and better. This is what the experts on creativity will vouch. However, I prefer creativity relating to humour because this is the area only a few will dwell into.

Many writers and artists have described creativity as something inspirational and which is captured outside the body. If idea is in the air in figurative language, then it has substantiated creativity to have co-existed to form a pattern and image of what has captured by creative imagination.

It is difficult to understand the process of imagination and we are very much at its mercy. And when we allow this to be the stumbling block then there will be fear to think let alone to imagine. As such, creativity will never see the day. To allow one’s imagination to roam unbridled then that will be the imagination to help creativity to run wild from what is obtained from the thin air.

Cuddling like cushion on her mistress’s breast
The warmth and tenderness the kitty sigh
Pampered in heavenly squeeze to rest
The heave of each breath is its lullaby

Untamed is the mind of a creative man
Forgiving lewdness for the sake of creativity
Unbridled imagination is like the fine sands
Polished by thought in the water of sanity

To bring forth the idea without malice
To bring smiles to intended incredulity
Sauntering into the entrance of her orifice
And to laugh at such ingenuity with glee

Seeing is believing yet deceiving to sight
Succulent strawberry in human garden grows
A piece of creation not for a chunky bite
In the mind the seeds of imagination sow

The beauty of hidden anatomy seduces the fragile mind
A touch of fantasy for the master stroke of creativity
Like the bloom of roses and the taste of the finest wine
A sight beholds the creation of a perennial beauty

Li Bai enchanted and Shakespeare bewitched
By the flowery man with outlandish thought
Of one’s nimble mind to find the creative niche
But a juicy strawberry on her fleshy buttock?

Ideas are the creations that may sound crazy but they are not crazy enough to be true in creativity. It is the human feelings that are moved by the value of beauty or love that reveal meanings beyond the boundary of imaginations.

The creative minds must be allowed to venture into the uncharted waters of the figurative world where only those who dare to sail and chart the course of one’s achievements. Without the creative minds the colourful world will only be painted in black and white. There is no limitation to be creative but only with the fortitude to search for more is the mystery that lies between a line of creativity and absurdity.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all. Edward De Bono.

The Mystery In Thought

The mind is developed by thinking and not by cramming it with other people's thoughts and opinions. The mystery in the way we think has been hidden for ages and for generations, but now it has been revealed by science or by sheer common sense.

Many people are totally unaware of their power of thought and the effect it has upon their lives. When our minds awaken to curious questioning and restless desire for knowledge, then our souls awaken to conscious search for life's true meaning and purpose.

When the power of thought fills our lives with fantasies then we are leaving them utterly empty in the thinking faculty to madness. Some may argue that it is their prerogatives to think and act as deem fit in the name of self-expressions.

Self-expression my foot! If the subject on self-expression has to be contentious so be it.

The wonders of the human minds will never cease to amaze. The mind must become harmonious with the physical action. Thought is the power of the mind and it is the precise place to get it healed first.

The obssession of beauty will result in an adverse effect. The skeletal body of this girl is still a beauty in the eyes of the beholder, most probably her own eyes. The beauty of a girl's anatomy has been degenerated to a sheer waste, so to her health.

Thoughts are the essence of virtue and depravity, hilarious or offending, creative or dull, and it all boils down to one’s perception according to the change of time we live in. The power of thought is immense and the way this faculty works could still be a mystery.

Nearest Is Dearest – Estrelita Soliano Grosse

I have met many women of worth, and I want to continue to meet them because they leave the deepest impression upon me. They have the gifted sense of humour and blessed with wisdom, and most of all, they are sure of themselves.

The candlelight vigil has brought me a new horizon to look at things and people at a broader perspective and to gather friendship that I have not dreamt of. The Anak Bangsa Malaysia is a wonderful connotation to “race” which I find it extremely comfortable to mingle with the crowd that shares the similar feeling.

To write about women, I have a fond memory of my mother. When a woman is aware of her worth and she is confident about whom she is then something wonderful occurs - she rejoices in her femininity and does not wallow in self-pity.

A woman of worth knows that she would not succumb to despondency, but by knowing where to look to find her authentic self which is the key to overcome all the obstacles that once thought impossible.

But because she knows her own worth, she is able to live a full, splendid life with many friends to surround her or come in contact with in the most incredible ways. Let me share with you this special lady whom will be at the vigil, comes rain or shine.

Twelve vigils have passed by and I have never missed this particular lady who has religiously attended every vigil without failed. Other men and ladies are the regulars too, but Lita stands out because she is just as busy as I am with a camera of her own. We bumped into each other so often that at certain times we became transparent to each other. From a nodding acquaintance to comradeship is worth more than a thousand words despite the short duration at each vigil to spin a yarn.

We exchanged smiles to acknowledge our presence and followed by a few “Hi”. Soon, we exchanged a few words and that was how I got to know her lucky man, Stephen. Lita is what she is fondly called is actually Estrelita Soliano Grosse. She possesses the quality of a woman and there is no doubt about it!

Those who know her will acknowledge that she is one special lady who will spend a fair amount of time with those around her and enjoy doing it. We all have the honour of meeting you and Stephen in the many vigils and more to come. Let us all feel good and blessed in all the vigils!
The candlelight vigil is a congregation of binding ourselves (intellectually or emotionally) to a worthy course that we believe in.

Lagu Negeri Selangor.

The PJ vigil enter its 12th weeks, as usual we end with singing the Selangor State anthem follows by Negaraku our National anthem. When comes to singing the Selangor state anthem many vigiler's merely standing still and not singing along. I presume they were either not patriotic or they are not familiar with the anthem/lyrics. I guess it was the latter otherwise they would not be there. To assist all anak-anak bangsa Malaysia in general and Selangoreans in particular to be able to sing the Selangor State anthem and to get in tune, click on the mp3 player below and sing along.

Mystery From The Sky

Lightning has fascinated mankind and the birth of myths and superstitious tales from it are common among children. It was the magic fire from the sky that man began to fear in the past. If this particular tree could survive the high-voltage impact then it will be a sacred tree with new mysterious tales to tell.

This rare photo taken by NASA is believed to happen once in 3000 years. It is called the "Eye of God" and modern men believe that this photo has done miracles in many lives. Believe it or not, it is harmless to make a wish by looking into it, and wait to see if there are any changes in your life. I have made my wish!

Real or Surreal?

The authenticity of this photo should not be doubted. It was taken in split seconds and it was a million-to-one chance that it could be taken with such accuracy. In sync, the three eagles flapped their wings at the precise moment that created a smile in the sky. This photo is a courtesy from a friend who sent to my e-mail.
The world we are living in is surrounded by many unexplained happenings. We would term it as miracles especially when our prayers are answered. But what if our prayers are not answered? Then we would console ourselves that we have not prayed hard enough. No matter how we conceive the prayers to be, the most important of all is to believe in oneself.

We should create beliefs to harness our understanding of the world around us and once we have formed the belief, we will then persevere what the belief is about.

The trouble is that how do we know what we believe is true? Just because in our experience it has been true, it does not necessarily mean that it will continue to be true because beliefs can be changed.

The subject about ghost has always been a fascination to me. It is said that ghost or spirit or apparition is the energy or soul of the person who has died and somehow got stuck between this realm of existence and the next. Some people will scoff at this insinuation to say that the spirits do not know that they are dead.

No matter what and how a person thinks or debates, the truth will set us free is when we have real life encounters with such phenomena. Seeing is believing is the unquestionable adage, and the irony is that we could have seen one without really knowing what it is.

Let us leave the subject of ghost out for a moment and let us take a look at what not one, but thousands who could have seen with their own eyes. The night was 1st.December 2008 when Mother Nature decided that her phenomenal display of wonders should be seen by the thousands throughout the world.

The left eye is a little faint.

Next week, we will take a peek at some strange photographs and allow our imaginations to determine if they are really ghosts.

What Is A real Man Made Of?

Rambo is a real man in tinseltown, a man with bulging muscles and a man with a serrated knife – he creates havoc to his enemies. In the surreal world, Rambo has created a character to be admired as the man he should be in the movies.

Men who walk around in tight fitting attire exhibiting their bulky loads of muscles and women under each arm are the real men too, but just a fancy in their make believe world. Psst, take a look at their faces please! Driving fast cars with branded sunglasses, the world is theirs because we are suppose to make way for them. It seems they are the only ones who pay road tax.

However, what I have is a comfortable car that can still provide me the uninterrupted journey to my destinations, and my woman who will stand by me - come what may. This is my world and I love it! But there are still many things missing in my life. I want to live in the real world which is more interesting and exciting than any fictional world that is so deceiving.

One of my desires is to learn how to be a real man. To be a real man who is not easily swayed by sight but have the conviction and to translate values into actions. My search was not in vain because in the journey itself I have found a teacher.
That special day was 08 September 2007. After listening to him, I felt a wonderful surge of chi (energy) and it began to harness my belief that he is the man to make the needed change. From that day on, I stalked him, literally speaking. I observed intently and tried to sneak into his thinking faculty and I saw a man who is steadfast to his beliefs and stubborn as he could be to what he thinks is right. One thing has put me to shame is that I am of his age but in no way I could stand shoulder to shoulder with him, except to write what is from my heart unreservedly.
Who is this man who has the strength to say what he believes in and what his heart feels that could make others feel inside?

Who is this man who has the power of compassion that lies within that he could make people see what they should see?

And who is this man who has the modesty for the lowest of the society by stretching his hand to give hope to live for another day?

People, I am talking about Raja Petra Kamaruddin or RPK which has become a household name.

HE may not win the most votes on American Idol but make no mistake about it - RPK is a bona fide Malaysian icon. He is one of the most important Malaysian thinkers today because his anxieties reflect the anxieties of the intelligentsia. This has tugged at my heart and what amazes me is his ability to take it to the ground and connect with the people beyond colours and creeds.

To be afraid is reason enough to do what we are afraid of, and to hide one’s fear is to fall out from one’s real self. So by facing fear, a real man experiences the peace within. So no one should feel weak, depressed or lonely. Just look at him sneering at absurdity will tell you that the system stinks to high heaven!

He is solid inside and is therefore not afraid to be vulnerable on the outside. A real man knows when to be tough. And when his rights or that of others who are being violated, he acts courageously, as a matter of principle, and not just of false pride. Stressing his point on incredulity, a thousand word is painted on his face.

Like my brothers and sisters in the candlelight vigil, we want to be the real people who do not need combatant stance for a purpose, but with loyalty to the cause by not being afraid. A real person is therefore one who has the inner strength and wisdom to distinguish between what is right or wrong even in the most difficult situation. Our solid stands amongst ourselves shield us from the vulnerability on the outside. We are the people who can appreciate RPK without feeling less of a man. This is what the great feeling is all about!

My only regret is that, I know this man a little too late but the consolation is that, it is not too little. To sum up how he has been subjugated to intimidations and his solitude behind the walls of Kamunting, I have the carefully chosen words to describe the whole scenario.

In the midst of the clouded mind, the men in power see not themselves but deceptions and foolery. The apogee of power that wields at will is the piecemeal power of intimidations the desperados will descend to a deranged level. No matter how excruciating it may seem to be, yet it makes this Real Man to take it to his stride - this is The Real Man everyone knows as RPK!

The Arms

The Arms – that show the way.

What we all know is that the arm is the limb that joins the shoulder to the hand. No sirree! I am not trying to insult your intelligence about anatomy. Lift your arm high when the needs arise and this is the very arm that is the symbol of your cnviction to the cause you are fighting for!

Around the world, we know that any government can ignore one person or one group, but they cannot ignore more and more people speaking out on critical issues. With this very arm, people like you and me will stretch it high for the call to respect human rights.

We no longer need a parental government to tell us what to do. I am proud to be part of the people that refuses to submit to unnatural limits on our most basic freedom - the freedom to assemble with a harmless little white candle. If lighting a candle is illegal then it is only a temporary “breach” of such absurdity, but the light must keep shining.

The arm that holds the light is the arm of freedom to shine for those who chose to be blind. Our basic human rights are in critical condition; autocrats have violated the freedom of our thinking and speech. If we do not join in and get involved and we don’t even think about it after we go home, can we still be saved from such absurdity of violation?

Malaysians are peaceful and cultured and let not the social fabric of cohesiveness be destroyed by allowing our rights to be taken away. The call for redemption will not see the light by then.

Every ordinary person starts by doing a small thing. Such small thing is from our conscience apparently endowed by Nature as our birthright to breathe the same air and walk the same journey as any person should.

The day will come when I turn to my left and right, I see only my brothers and sisters beyond their colours and creeds. This will truly be Malaysia where the people have created a New World Order that will herald a thousand years of peace and freedom.

Let the light shines in the dark and even a small glitter will show the way. What more if thousand folds that keep burning with a tsunami of overwhelming glow that are lifted by just our arms? A moment of reflection is just what we need to think sincerely if we are truly the Malaysians that we should be!

MARINA LEE ABDULLAH

Marina Lee Abdullah

Love is passionate and deep. It will drive you to do crazy things for each other, be it madness or being acrobatic. But loving a person is actually by knowing all the faults, knowing the good and the bad and still choosing to be together – that is love.

Many of us do not have first-hand knowledge of what married life entails. But I have thought long and hard about it. And I am ready for whatever it may bring – it brought me three wonderful children.

Many of us should consider ourselves insanely lucky to have found the woman who fits beautifully in our life.

The saddest moment in a married life is when we start to take each other for granted. What more when the little bubbling cutie arrives year after year? Time is stretched unbearably with the unending chores and the circle of friend dwindles to a miserably few. With the grace of God, we will live to be grandparents but most of us will see their children leaving the nest to roast on their own. This is when we have to learn to bear the silence each day without hearing their voices.

Any woman is an inspiration to the heart and gives meaning to all the things in life that are frequently left unexplained. The strength of a woman lies deeply within her soul and it is from the depths of that soul, where pain and frustration are often times hidden. So, men will have to salute women for their strength, their power, and the unique abilities that make them what they are. Marina Lee Abdullah is this breed of a woman.

"I just want him home"

It is futile to spend hours upon hours mulling it over in our heads, trying to make sense of it because she is right before our eyes.

When the inevitable moment comes which make it seems so hopeless and endless, just stretch out your hand in the dark and you will feel her beside you. Her warmth saturates in the lonely air, unseen but soothing. Then, lay your head between her bosoms and listen to the medley of her heartbeat vibrating into your ears. It will be a whole new world to feel the love of your woman to roam unbridled among the myriad of stars in your imagination.
Man will never be alone even in the most trying situation, because she is always there to stand by him.

Walking The whole Nine Yards [Bernard khoo]

Each time I wear a T-shirt with the bold imprint that call for a certain protest, I am looked at with cynicism and most of all, their pout lips with their eyes rolling up the ceiling. Initially, I was offended and wished that I could wring their necks.

Today, it does bother me a bit at all. What I am doing and where I am going is my prerogative, no question about it. I want to be counted against the absurdity of the ruling hypocritical “elites” on ordinary people like me. I am heading to the venue that can help me hold my head high.

If my father could volunteer himself to be a home-guard officer in the post Japanese Occupation of Malaya, and brought food on the table as well, what I could do now is just a minnow compare to his patriotism and that of his comrades of their time.

I want to be like my father who would even stand in the fire for a good cause of human dignity, and now, I want to touch the heart of the “elites” that have almost turned to stone with a little white candle.

Whether ordinary folks in this contemporary have awakened from their slumber of comfort zone or otherwise, the truth to such killing of the belief to stand united is purely ignorant.

There are stories of brave men and women who sent ripples of impact upon millions of people are easily found in the history books. New history has to be written today, the history for the future generation to know that his or her parents or grandparents had once held the little white candle that paved a new horizon of hope that turned to reality for them to be recognized as Anak Bangsa Malaysia.

The ordinary folks are those with enduring faith and boundless patience that compel them to rise to the occasion to earn the respect of being unafraid. We are unafraid because we love our Jalur Gemilang – the symbol of peace and the love of our country.

All ordinary folks should walk the whole nine yards with Bernard Khoo. He is an exemplary man standing tall to his belief and by stretching his hands out to reach those who are willing to hold his.

There are untold tales about Bernard - his passion and fortitude. He would never refuse to give anyone his warm hug be it man, woman or child. His hug is the symbol of friendship that glows like embers waiting to be fanned by the gust of courage to spark into a flame of unity. He stood his ground and such fortitude coming from a grandfather is hard to come by at any standard from men his age.

His familiar face is all about town. And what the eye of my camera could see is his “greatest gift” which is missing in many of us.

The greatest gift we can have is the unwavering consciousness on whatever we want to do or believe in. When the belief is harnessed with conscience, then conviction becomes the yardstick to help us to overcome all “man made” obstacles along the way.

To Bernard Khoo, the message is pure and simple. Your generation of comrades will come forward with their little white candles because they will not let you walk alone. The people who will walk with you the whole nine yards salute you sir, because you are who you are. Please lead on brother.

Vigil Children Let It Be

Love truly comes in every colour like the rainbow with a kaleidoscope of variety, diversity and joy. I love to walk down the memory lane with a recollection of those childish delights which I often cherish that will go into raptures in the years to come.

A good way to start thinking like a child is to abandon our judgment and knowledge of what is practical and starts asking playful questions and give playful answers. Tell a child that you want to go “si si” instead of clearing your bladder. Tell a child that you want to “mum mum” instead of eating and tell a child that you want to “oui oui” instead of sleeping. Try it on your spouse and you will end up in Tanjong Rambutan (Hospital Bahagia) because you have too many ripe “rambutans” hanging within reach.

When I was a child, I yearned to be in an adult’s world, and when I am an adult I know it is more meaningful to be a child. For all their innocence and wonder, I know children may not obey but they will listen unlike an adult who might lead himself astray. Like flowers and blossoms that attract the bumble bees, children attract LOVE.

EyeSpy took a peek into a child’s mind from the face that hides no lies. His dedication is to all the children at the candlelight vigil.
Papa, will the flame burn my hands?
He smiles and shakes his head to say no,
Because her Papa knows a child speaks like a child, thinks like a child and does like a child.

Mama, why my candle becomes shorter?
She smiles and squats to her height,
Because her Mama knows the child grows as fast like a shortened candle will be to know the meaning of the lights.

Papa, why my friends have no candles?
He looks around and pats her head,
Because her Papa knows they have their candles burning brilliantly in their hearts too.

Mama, why we hold the candles?
With her palms on her child’s cheeks,
And in teary eyes her Mama knows the ignorance of a child will be the wisdom to glow like the lights

(Then she turns to me)

Uncle, why you are not holding a candle?
I arch over and whisper into her ears,
She looks up at me with tilted head and in dilated eyes from what she hears, “Love, you are the flame that will keep shining in everyone’s heart.”
===================================================================
Adults should know that the best way to reach children with this message is not only to "talk the talk," but also to "walk the walk." To show love, is to receive love and children can feel it. You will agree because we were children once and now we are the “overgrown” children who still need to give and receive love.

When we see them laugh, we see a beautiful world of ignorance comes to life. And when we see them cry, our hearts melt like a candle wax beyond salvage. We must not allow their gentle spirits to be clouded by our turmoil and do not let them see no love about them. We have to allow them to see hope, compassion and value in life because children are a joy that bring smiles to touch even the coldest heart.

Children learn what they live
Children live what they learn
Show them the way to love in their hearts
And they will find out in the world.

The Distant Run

Yes, I am a senior citizen who is worth the distant run.

Do not take senior citizens for granted by constantly criticizing them for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, be it real or imaginary. They have so much to share and you can learn from them in order to understand them.

No matter how you conceive the senior citizens to be, always bear in mind that they are emotional with age and they need attention from their loved ones. No matter how difficult at times it may seem to be, stretch your patience a little and you will make a world of difference in his life. What you are looking at now is the reflection of you when your time comes to be one.

Do you know that some senior citizens do share some common traits? You be the judge then.

He is usually interested in going home before he could get to where he is going.

He is awake many hours before his body allows him to get up.

He is smiling all the time because he can't hear a damn thing you are saying.

He is very good at telling stories; over and over and over until you drop off the chair.

He will say that other people's grandchildren are not as cute as his.

He will tell you how to keep healthy like the physique he has, but the truth is that his various organs need transplant, so to speak.

When you have not done well, he will start telling you, “When I was young…”

Why is that senior citizens speak more or less the same “language” and not tired of it? Simple, they are cute my friends! And I like to be cute too because I am one of them! So please bear with us if we happen to get out of line.

Senior citizens having given their most active years to the society working in various capacities and now they deserved special consideration by society at large and the government in particular.

Their capabilities have also further the betterment of the society through years of contributions and most of all nurturing their children to be what they are today. Will they ask for your financial support? Will they want to see you fail? Will they want to see you waste your life away? My dear friends, the questions are endless and the answers to the three heartfelt questions are plain NO.

Let me share with you a little secret and when you are in a moment of silence, please give a thought about it.

They want your love and a little attention that you can spare. Allow them to grow old gracefully because they may slip into their second childhood inevitably. By then, your love and care for them should be on your willing shoulders to bear because they will be waiting for you to help them through those lonely years.

You will see with your own eyes that what you will have to do for them is what they had done for you when you were too young to understand, and most of all so ignorant. If only you could remember your first fall trying to walk; and how they rushed to lift you up and cajoled you to try one more time; and how you were mollycoddled after that. Of course you could not remember! This is the test of your love for them when they start to make their first “fall”. By then, will they be asking too much or will they be receiving too little wanting to be with you?

Take a look around you and you may see for yourself those who are lucky, and those who are not. Some are living in seclusion into their twilight years. Need I have to say more?

For too many years, the senior citizens had being keeping too quiet. Now, they have emerged to lend their support for a good cause. They may not have so much time left to do what is not for themselves but for their children and their children’s children. Their faces fill with wisdom and compassion, are the faces that we should not forget with time.

Dear friends, come out and light the little white candles with them. Make the candles glow brilliantly in the dark forever and ever in your heart.

Quote: Whatever good I can do, let me do it now for I may not pass this way again.
