Live - Perak Under Siege

IPOH: Live Reporting via SMS from Eyespy.

19:35 - Earlier the crowd went to the stadium and now the crowd has gathered at the MB residence. Crowd started to swell at the compound of the Menteri Besar Residence.

20:15 - Estimated a good growing crowd of about 2,000 people. Waiting for the Mentri Besar and DS Anwar Ibrahim to address the supporters. People screaming for reformasi. Banners read "Bubarkan Dun, Kembalikan Kuasa Rakyat" and another banner said "Daulat Tuanku. Rakyat Pohon Tuanku Bubarkan Dun Perak".

20:25 - A good mix of crowd. Roads were blocked and parking were limited. Crowd was getting bigger, people just streaming in and it's close to 3,000 now.

20:43 - FRU came and wanted to enter the compound. Gate was closed fast enough and they went away. People in the compound charged to the gate to block. Chanting "Hancur BN" and "Reformasi".

21.53 - For half an hour, the high impact speech was heard from the multi-purpose hall. Easily touching 6,000 people excluding those locked out. Some were climbing on the fence for a peek. Very good crowd. Feel very much at home with the crowd of all mix.

22:05 - Buses from Kuala Kangsar were stopped from coming into Ipoh. Other buses from different places were also stopped.

22:22 - The crowd will stage out at the Mentri Besar residence until tomorrow to avoid the attempt to remove the Mentri Besar from his residence. The estimated turnout ratio of the crowd based on race - Malay, Chinese and Indian were 60%, 30% and 10% respectively.

23:00 - It was reported that there were 10,000 more people outside the Mentri Besar residence and they have crowded every inch of the road.

23:15 - The ceramah had ended, some were leaving and most still around to pledge support.

Eyespy and the team will be leaving Ipoh soon. Eyespy will post this event with images for all to share.
